Frequently Asked Questions
 
Hours:    AM Preschool: 8:00am - 11:00am PM Preschool: 12:00pm - 3:00pm
               Full time Kindergarten:   Mon.-Fri.                       8:00am-3:00pm
               Part time Kindergarten : Mon., Wed., & Fri.         8:00am-11:00am
                                                      Tues. & Thurs.              8:00am- 3:00pm
              Child Care/Ext. Care: Available   7:00-8:00am & 11:00am - 6:00pm
Begins/Ends: School begins the end of August. Orientation for K and PS will be scheduled the week before. Preschool classes end before Memorial Day weekend. Kindergarten, child & extended care go to the end of May, per the school calendar.
Drop Off/Pick Up: Kindergarten & Preschool is at our 12th St. entrance. Children entering/leaving ELC outside regular class hours use our 13th St. parking lot.
Snacks: The ELC is a PEANUT FREE facility. Parents will be provided with a list of peanut free snacks to bring to school. An after school snack is provided for children in child/extended care..
Milk: Milk is available to purchase for K-8, at a nominal fee. Milk fees are included in the preschool & childcare tuition. Extended care students receive juice after school, which is included in the fees.
Lunches: Children staying for lunch bring a lunch from home. Hot lunch is available to pre-order daily for a nominal fee. Drinks are not included in hot lunch price.
Parent Involvement: Preschool families are not required to work family hours, however, we encourage all families to be involved.
Fundraising: K-8 families have mandatory family hours or can pay a fundraising fee. Families are welcome to participate in fundraisers. Select fundraisers can help reduce a K-8 family’s tuition. (more info is available) Tuition reductions incurred during preschool will be applied to Kindergarten tuition.
Uniforms: Students begin wearing uniforms in first grade at St. Dennis.
Physicals: A completed physical/immunization form, dental form, and optical form are required by the state for all students entering Kindergarten. All new preschoolers require only a physical/immunization form.
Supply List: A list will be sent home in June. Packets may be ordered through the school for a limited time at the end of the school year, for the following year.
Calendar: An overall yearly calendar will be sent out in June. A monthly calendar is sent home through the student’s folder.
